Two types of investment vehicles are available at NanoMEMS Research, LLC.

1. Research Investments: These investments support the conception, research, early development, and prototyping of intellectual property (IP). The investor will have certain rights to the patents produced.

2. Commercialization Investments: These investments finance the spin-out and growth of companies aimed at productizing, commercializing and mass producing specific pieces of IP in NanoMEMS Research, LLC's portfolio. The investor will share in the ownership of the spin-out companies.

Investors

NanoMEMS Research, LLC is not interested in attracting investments from Venture Capital firms operating under the traditional paradigm. The ideal investors sought fall into the following categories:

1. Individual/non-professional investors: These are financially secure individuals and/or institutions with a long-term horizon. The investments from groups of individuals will be combined to fund the R&D of each piece of IP. Individuals may choose to invest in multiple pieces of IP.

2. Corporations: These are companies for which our R&D capabilities and IP represent an enabling technology that can substantially enhance future business. Their investment may stimulate specific areas of research or facilitate accelerating ongoing R&D to fit their schedule.

3. Diversified Companies/Conglomerates: These are companies interested in diversifying into the product areas enabled by our IP. They may acquire our IP and/or proceed to co-found the spin-out of a new company.
